Cape Town, December 2019. Laura Seiler and I were walking into the Strangers Club, a super nice restaurant/café in Cape Town with Bali vibes. We were discussing the next photoshoot for Laura’s I AM magazine. As we entered, we spotted someone sitting in the corner, reading… can you guess? …right… Laura’s latest issue of I AM magazine.

 It was such a serendipitous moment. What were the chances?

We walked straight towards the girl with the I AM magazine in her hands. When she looked up, she couldn’t believe her eyes. It was like she beamed Laura out of the magazine into reality. We all had a good laugh and instantly connected. The girl with the magazine was Anne Rasche, who was in Cape Town as a model with the agency Icon Models.

A little fun fact on the side: I used to work as a model as well, and during that time, I was also on a working visa with the same agency as her.

A few days later we took some photos for her portfolio. A good mix of swimwear, beauty and lifestyle portraits in Cape Town and surrounding.
